Early Life & Passion for Coding
Vinod Bahadur Thapa was born in Nepal (🇳🇵 5 Jan 1994) and grew up with a deep love
for technology and problem-solving. From a young age, he was fascinated by how websites
and digital products were built — spending countless hours experimenting with HTML, CSS,
and JavaScript on his own. Unlike many who followed a formal route,
Vinod largely self-taught himself the foundations of web development
through sheer curiosity and persistence. This hands-on, no-shortcuts approach would
later define his teaching philosophy entirely.
Professional Developer Career
Before becoming an educator, Vinod worked as a professional full-stack web
developer for over 8 years, building real-world applications for clients and
companies. He worked extensively with the
MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) and was an early
adopter of Next.js for server-side rendering and SEO-optimised web apps.
His industry experience spans e-commerce platforms, admin dashboards, REST APIs,
authentication systems, and payment gateway integrations — giving him a uniquely
practical perspective that textbooks and bootcamps rarely offer.
Founding Thapa Technical
In the early days of Hindi-medium programming education on YouTube, Vinod noticed a
glaring gap — most tutorials were either too shallow or too theoretical, rarely showing
how real projects were built from scratch to deployment. So he launched
Thapa Technical, a YouTube channel and education platform dedicated to
project-based, practical, full-stack development tutorials in Hindi and
English. He also founded Kodyfier, an IT institute offering
live DSA and web development classes. The channel quickly resonated with lakhs of
Indian developers who finally had a teacher who spoke their language —
literally and figuratively.
